Geometry

The NORTH pole is on one curved side of the magnet and the SOUTH pole is on the opposite curved side. The poles are therefore semi-circular and are not on the flat circular ends where most magnets have them.

These magnets are plated with 3 layers of protective coatings - Nickel + Copper + Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni), other options: Zn, Ni, Epoxy, Cr, Gold, etc.
